J.D. Howard Reserve

The third core release from Crowned Heads gathers its name from the Legend of Jesse James. Crowned Heads, which is based in Nashville, chose to use the alias James used while in Nashville on the run. The look of the cigar matches the rustic name.

The cigar is wrapped with a toothy Brazilian Arapirica leaf. The binder consists of Ecuadorian Sumatra, close to that which wraps the Headley Grange, also made by Crowned Heads. The filler of the cigar is then made up of assorted Nicaraguan tobaccos which offer a great mix of sweetness and spiciness. Hints of coffee, white pepper, and a little bit of earthiness present themselves throughout the smoke. The cigar, released in 2013, has quickly become a favorite of both the staff and guests here at the shop.
