La Flor Dominciana Chapter One
The first cigar blended for LFD by Anthony Gomez, son of famed LFD founder Litto Gomez, is a beautiful chisel shaped perfecto. Featuring almost a midnight black oscuro wrapper, this beauty of a cigar is full on flavor. Despite the dark, rich looking wrapper, this cigar falls to the medium-full strength range, notably lower than some of La Flor’s other offerings. The box press chisel is possibly the easiest cigar to prepare for smoking… All one has to do is pinch the chisel and it’s ready to go. Litto Gomez himself stated the flavor of the cigar changes if a chisel is cut versus being pinched, and that La Flor Dominicana’s chisels are meant to pinched. The cigar has a rich chocolaty flavor with some sweet earthy tones. The cigar would pair well with a chocolate stout, a smooth scotch, or a nice rum.
